IBM sets up Business Analytics Center of Competency in Bangalore

To meet the growing need of analytics, IBM has set up the Business Analytics Center of Competency in Bangalore. The aim of the center would be to offer high end expertise in the field of business analytics to enterprises worldwide. The center will support the company’s recent announcement of global business analytics solutions centers.

IBM already has a huge presence in India with a strength of about 2000 employees in the area of business analytics and optimization. So far the work involved mostly centered around developing applications, providing services and support.

The Business Analytics Center of Competency, will have a strength of about 200 consultants with expertise from the field of advanced analytics, business intelligence, process management, content management, and enterprise integration management.

The consultants will be interacting with customers all over the world unlike before when the interaction was done by consultants from technical or sales team who were not expert in business analytics. The center would focus on all the areas from Web 2.0 analytics, risk and fraud analytics, financial analytics, customer analytics to enterprise business analytics strategy.
