TechSparks 2010 marches to identify the High Potential Technology Innovations in India

In association with Microsoft BizSpark and CNBC TV18 Young Turks, YourStory presents TechSparks 2010. The event will show case the top innovative product companies on the 13th August 2010 at Bangalore. YourStory.in is the online platform only for entrepreneurs and start-ups.

According to YourStory, TechSparks 2010 was conceived to bring to light the Indian companies that are taking shape to deliver and take the product tech to the next stage in India. Supporting the cause is the legendary global software giant Microsoft.

The initiation of the event is to encourage and support the tech start-ups into the field of product development which uses high-end technologies, as such of Microsoft, to build their products and services. The event also hopes to support IP start-ups whose technologies requires to be protected by the laws of Intellectual Property.

The basic criteria for entering into the competition is to have a product which has a potential to scale and grow. It should be Product/IP start-ups which are using Microsoft technologies and the focused area are software products, mobile products, cloud computing and Web 2.0.

Criteria for Selection:-
1. Product/IP start-up (with defensible technologies), which are leveraging Microsoft technologies to create impact in the marketplace
2. Viability of the start-up (market opportunity, competition, business model and host of other characteristics unique to a start-up)
3. The disruptive role the start-up plays in the IT landscape and the unique value proposition it provides to various stakeholders

The event promises to help the start-ups reach out to investment agencies, venture capitalists, media and corporates.
