PCs are Better Than Macs, says Microsoft

Who’s the big daddy, Microsoft or Apple?  The Cupertino firm has indeed surpassed the Redmond company in terms of market cap. But Microsoft’s flagship product Windows, still houses itself in majority of computers in homes and offices, around the world. However with Apple’s revolutionary lineup of iPhone, iPods, iPad and Macs, Microsoft has had a rather bumpy ride in the market with quite a few failed attempts. But it has had enough of criticism now and wants to prove out to the world it ain’t taking any crap henceforth.

Microsoft has created a new especially dedicated website that outlines the differences between Macs and PCs. The site appears with a lady smiling at our faces (though I am wondering what could be the significance!), probably ‘trying hard’ to look perplexed while making a decision to buy a Mac or a PC.  Finally Microsoft’s claims of PC being better than Macs take their first flight citing the Macs spoiling the whole fun of its users. To quote Microsoft, “You can’t get a Mac that ships with a Blu-ray player, TV tuner, Memory Stick reader, or built-in 3G wireless. You can with PCs running Windows 7.”

It goes on to give Windows some brownie points by claiming it  to be much simpler to use, more compatible, offering better document sharing and lot more choices and capabilities for your money. SO?

Well, we aren’t taking sides here and neither are we impressed with any of these Microsoft stunts. But we whole heatedly appreciate company’s efforts of trying to counter the Mac vs PC campaign that Apple first trumpeted. But is anybody changing their buying decisions after this? And what do Apple fanboys have to say?
