Search giant Google has added malware alert to search. Now, it will show warning to users if their computers are infected by Malware.
Google’s engineers found some unusual search traffic from computers infected with malicious software (malware) while performing routine maintenance on one of their data centers.
The traffic was sent to Google through intermediary computer servers referred to as “proxies,” according to Google Security Blog.
And then Google began delivering warning notices along with search results to computers that appear infected with the virus.
On the company blog, Damian Menscher, Security Engineer wrote, “We hope that by taking steps to notify users whose traffic is coming through these proxies, we can help them update their antivirus software and remove the infections”.
