We have created a simple, easy-to-use platform. Shaadi Invite aims to be the one-stop shop where families could organize a wedding in comfort and make wedding more memorable.
Letting your friends and relatives know about a wedding event, apart from the wedding day for which we are sure you will have wedding invitations in place; can sometimes be a painful task. When it comes to wedding events like Mehendi, sangeet or even engagement, traditional invitations cards fail to serve the purpose. Online wedding planning websites like Shaadi Invite can be very useful in such cases, as you can keep all your guests updated on upcoming events.
But if you want to do it on your own, it’s always better to plan a wedding event through any social networking site. Yes, we are talking about creating a wedding event on Facebook as well as letting your loved ones know about it not just on Facebook but also on Twitter and the most talked about site currently, Google Plus. It’s as simple as creating your own wedding website. So here is how you do it:
1) First and foremost you need to log onto your Facebook account. If you don’t have one already you can get one in here. It’s free. Now that you have a Facebook account up and running, let’s get down to business. Click “Events” from the navigation menu on the left hand side of your page. You will be taken to a page with all the events you are currently planning to attend. Select “Create an Event” at the top of your page.
2) Fill in all the relevant details pertaining to your wedding event, including the date, time and place. You can always edit these later as well.
3) Next up, the privacy option. Events have two different privacy settings available. Public and Private. We suggest you go with the ‘private’ option because it will help you prevent spammers as well as unwanted people from inviting themselves to your wedding event. (Private events are by invitation only and cannot be found in search results. People who have not been invited cannot view the event description, Wall, or photos. They cannot see any News Feed stories about the event as well)
4) After making the necessary privacy settings please click “Create Event” option.
5) Now all you have to do is start inviting guests to your wedding event. For that click “Select guests to invite” option at the left hand side of your Facebook page.
6) A new pop up window will appear in front of you. So now you have two options by virtue of which you can send invitation to your friends and relatives. One is to select your facebook friends and the other to enter their email addresses. You can make use of both effectively. Don’t forget to personalise your invitation by attaching a message along with it.
Keep your guests updated on your wedding event and do send them reminders with the help of posts and other multimedia features available.
Next comes letting your friends know about the event on Twitter. Well, we are afraid all your followers will come to know about it if you tweet it. You can very well send them a message regarding the event instead. In case you want to make the event public just start tweeting about your wedding event but don’t forget to hash tag (#) it every time with the same unique title (Ex. RajPoojaEngagement). This will ensure that guests can see all the tweets related to the event under this topic.
Now that you have conquered Facebook and Twitter, let’s move on to Google Plus. First, Login to your Google plus account and create a new circle with all your wedding guests in it. Now next time whenever you want to send an invitation, reminder or other details regarding the wedding event just make sure you are sending it just to this circle. This will ensure that the ceremony is private.
Well if you find this quite tedious and time consuming, just go to our site and create your beautiful wedding website and start sharing information regarding any event, invite guests, take suggestions and contact vendors all at one place. Not just that you can also share photos, videos and your memories with our various multimedia features. All this and much more for free. You will have access to all our website features. No misleading terms and conditions. So what are you waiting for?
