Now, you would never miss out on the sales and offers going on in your neighborhood.  According to a latest report, India’s popular group-buying portal, mydala.com, is launching a new feature called Deal Hunter that lets users uncover and share local deals in their neighborhood.

Deal Hunter aggregates sales and offers from various local merchants using proprietary software. It currently features a total of 13, 166 deals in various categories such as restaurants, health & beauty, travel, lifestyle, fashion, home & baby, and gadgets. Users can switch between Map View and  List View while searching for deals. They can also filter out mydala deals, or deals with more than 50% discounts.

“Deal Hunter is the outcome of more than 6 months of our research and efforts. As a unique concept, Deal Hunter offers a much-needed solution to a retail void that is a win-win for merchants as well as buyers, just like mydala. No more scouring your local paper, or sorting through your SMS’s/email inbox. Deal Hunter does all the legwork for consumers. While buyers need not worry about missing a sale, merchants can ensure that more and more people are about to take advantage for the offer period, thereby increasing their sale volumes,” said Anisha Singh, Founder and CEO of mydala.

To encourage more interaction from the users, mydala is also allowing users to add the deals they have come across, on Deal Hunter. In return, the company will give them points that they can redeem while shopping on the deals site.

Deal Hunter will initially be available in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune, and will be launched in more cities gradually.
