Facebook’s profile pages have undergone umpteen number of changes, but the brand pages on the social networking platform have stayed more or less the same. After launching Timeline for profiles, Facebook is planning to give its brand pages, the much-needed makeover.
Facebook is set to launch Timeline for Brand Pages on Feb 29, during its invitation only Facebook Marketing Conference.
“Timeline is coming to Brand Pages. At Facebook they pushed back the launch of Timeline for brands to the end of February,” sources familiar with the matter told the Business Insider.
A Facebook spokesperson further added, “We believe that consistency in both functionality and appearance increase use of Facebook. We hope to make Pages more consistent with the Timeline in the future, but we have nothing further to share at this time.”
Facebook has already announced that it would launch Timeline for all users globally over the next few weeks. Now, the next logical step would be to take the new design of Timeline to the brand pages.
