Video: iPad survives after a 100,000 feet fall from space

by on January 9th, 2012

Whether Apple’s iPad would  survive the highly competitive market or not, it would surely survive a 100,000 feet drop from the space…provided it’s protected by G-Form’s new iPad case.

G-Form, a company that makes electronics cases and athletic pads, let an iPad covered solely in the company’s 6oz Extreme Edge case, fall to the Earth, from a height of 100,000 feet. In the video, the iPad is being lifted to over 100,000 feet by a weather balloon, which bursts at altitude releasing the iPad to fall freely to the Earth. The iPad crash lands on a rocky hillside in the Nevada countryside, surviving the whole  adventure, and landing in perfect shape, without suffering any damage .
