Google to pay users, in exchange for their Search History
Google has launched a new project called ‘Screenwise‘, under which the search giant is planning to pay users who share their Search History with the company.
The new project, according to Gawker.com aims to gather info on how people use the Internet in their daily lives. Google is asking volunteers who participate in the project to install a Chrome browser extension that allows data to be collected in exchange for gift coupons. Google will provide you with an initial $5 gift card to Amazon. You can then stick with Screenwise for a year, receiving an additional $5 gift card every three months, until you reach a maximum payout of $25.
“What we learn from you, and others like you, will help us improve Google products and services and make a better online experience for everyone, the search giant said in a statement.
To be eligible to join, you must be 13 or older, have a Google Account (or sign up for one), and be ready to use the Google Chrome browser.
