Steve Jobs says “i Like Android” in his afterlife
Steve Jobs despised Google and its Android devices in real life, but the Apple co-founder seems to be happily using an Android device in his afterlife.
Taiwanese company Action Electronics Co. has produced a new TV commercial, where in a Steve Jobs look-alike is seen promoting the company’s Android-based tablet Action Pad. The ad features Taiwanese comedian and impersonator Ah-Ken, dressed in Jobs’ trademark black turtle neck sweater and blue jeans, with angel wings and a halo over his head.
The “Jobs” character in the ad, pulls out the Action Pad from his jeans pocket, and shows off the dictionary functions on its Action Pad screen, adding, “Thank God I finally get to play other tablets.”
The commercial has not received any adverse reaction from Apple, yet. But, the video has drawn some sharp reactions from Apple fans on YouTube, with some calling it distasteful and disgusting.
“Steve Jobs always promoted things that were good for people, Apple products, so his image can also promote other things that are good,” Chelsea Chen, a spokeswoman for Action Electronics stated, adding that the company has not tried to exploit the death of Steve Jobs, or make fun of him in the commercial.
