Times Internet launches its Tablet magazine ‘Tweek’
Times Internet Limited(TIL), the Internet and mobile arm of Times Group, which publishes one of the leading newspapers ‘Times of India’ has launched its tablet magazine ‘ Tweek’, in partnership with GENWI, a premier cloud based Tablet and Smartphone Publishing Platform, which enables publishers to create and manage interactive, social, and live media apps on iPad, iPhone, and Android.
Though Times Internet already offers iPad apps for the Times of India and other publications, the media giant claims to offer something more with the Tweek magazine app.
“Tweek is the magazine of the future. You don’t read a magazine anymore, you get immersed in a magazine. Why limit yourself to reading a story when you can hear and watch it as well. Powered by multimedia and the social experience of the web, Tweek goes beyond words and pictures on a page to bring you a 360 degree magazine reading experience,” the company says.
“Tweek offers its readers an unparalleled experience in terms of interactivity, customization and usability. With its launch, we intend to pioneer the tablet magazine space in India,” adds Rishi Khiani, chief executive, TIL.
Tweek would be a general interest magazine spanning a wide range of global stories from a wide range of genres including but not limited to business, sports, lifestyle, politics and entertainment, tailored to your interests and likes.
“With the power of the cloud, Tweek will save time and production costs by reusing design layouts. The most groundbreaking aspect of the application is the way it surfaces existing content and takes full advantage of the tablet experience to create higher levels of reader engagement,” adds PJ Gurumohan, founder & CEO of GENWI.”
The Tweek app is free, and is also available for international users. You can download it from here.
