Japan’s leading social gaming platform operator DeNA and Sina Corporation, the operator of China’s largest microblogging platform Weibo.com, have entered into a new partnership that will make DeNA’s Chinese-version Mobage social gaming platform even more easily accessible to Weibo’s 300 million users.

Under this new partnership, the two companies plan to create a special Mobage website under a SINA domain in April, that would enable Weibo users to download Mobage China gaming apps to their Android-based smartphones. A new Mobage icon will be added inside the Weibo.com Android app, to take Weibo users to the new site. In addition, DeNA and Sina would also link Mobage China and Weibo.com accounts, allowing the microblog users who downloaded Mobage China apps from the website to log in with their existing Weibo.com IDs and passwords.

More than half of the Weibo.com users access the site from their mobile devices and till date around 40 million users have downloaded the Weibo.com app. Sina’s partnership with DeNA will provide its microblog users with free access to high-quality mobile social games from around the world, in addition to helping DeNA expand its service in China.
