Professional networking site ApnaCircle’s parent Viadeo raises $32 million

Viadeo, which operates India’s leading business and career networking site has raised $32 million in a series D round from existing investors and new investors that include French Sovereign Wealth Fund, Fonds Stratégique d’Investissement, Idinvest, Ventech, Allianz, Jefferies and Middle Eastern private funds.

Viadeo is the world’s second largest professional network with over 45 million members worldwide. The Group comprises of the brands Viadeo, Tianji and ApnaCircle is head-quartered in Paris, with offices in India (New Delhi), UK (London), US (San Francisco), Spain (Madrid and Barcelona), Italy (Milan), Russia (Moscow), China (Beijing), Mexico (Mexico City) and Senegal (Dakar).

Founded by Mr. Yogesh Bansal in December 2006, business and career networking site ApnaCircle, merged with Viadeo-Tianji in 2009.

This approach has awarded us tremendous growth and success in both European and emerging markets,” said Dan Serfaty, CEO, Viadeo.

The Group plans to use the new investment to accelerate growth in Europe, China and other emerging markets such as India, Latin America, Russia, and Africa.
