Opera Software’s mobile browser Opera Mini 7 is now available on feature phones and BlackBerry devices. The new browser is also available on J2ME platforms and on Symbian S60.
Opera Mini 7 includes the new Smart Page that will give users, quick and easy access to their social networks, favorite websites and other popular content online. Users can access Facebook and Twitter right in the first screen of Opera Mini.
Even the Speed dial feature, which allows users to add most visited web pages to the opening page, would now be available on feature phones.
Opera Mini claims to have more than 140 million users worldwide, with most of its users, being from India, Indonesia, Russia, China and Brazil. The browser has more than a million users in 22 countries around the world.
A recent report from Tech blog Pocket-lint,states that the social networking giant Facebook is looking to buy Opera Software, the company behind the Opera web browser, and launch its own Facebook browser.
