Social media sites are ON THE JOB to provide their users more flexibility to use their platforms. After Facebook’s recent feature update of providing a ‘share’ option for mobile users, now twitter has come up with its own idea of being versatile.

Twitter launched a feature – the infamous one-to-many text messaging service to the worldwide. Now you can email your “Tweets” directly from the message stream.
“You can retweet any (Twitter messages) to your Twitter followers, but sometimes you want to share with another group, like your college roommates or your parents or a friend who isn’t yet on Twitter,” engineer Stefan Filip says. “That’s why we’re introducing the ability to email a Tweet directly from twitter.com.”
The feature is yet to be rolled out for all kinds of users – which allows its members to post brief (remember 140 characters only) comments, links or pictures in the weeks to come, according to Filip.
From the business point of view, this can also viewed as a chance to loop in even the non-twitterites into twitter territory. There are chances to get more signups by providing such an option. After all, once the bluebird started to find a place everywhere from your TV to email inbox, eventually you would give up and sign up.
