Whoa! Sony had completely taken a new leap in ’13 with its Xperia Z, the only dust and waterproof android handset till now (well we don’t know yet who else is going to hit the market next).
As rightly mentioned, the new android handset is dust and water resistant and also would be able to make it through the rainstorm or an accidental dip or swim in the pool. It is a great package with anti-shatter glass film on the front and back of the phone, Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 1080p display and a 13megapixel camera.
Sony is also pretty self-assured about battery backup, which automatically shuts down all the battery draining android applications when not in use. So you need not worry about the batter backup while you are fast asleep. But if you are a passionate marketer who is always all eyes and ears for twitter updates, you can customize the settings to receive notifications even when the screen is off.
The NFC features of the mobile, helps in easily pairing with any device right from speakers to TV. You also have advanced features that allow you to access your smartphone from your TV. So you can play angry birds full jived up.
Sony is planning to launch its innovative device in first quarter of ’13 followed by a smaller version, Xperia ZL, which would not be water-resistant. The handset would be launched with Jelly Bean.
