Why Buzzom is not working ? - Buzzom Update
Posted on April 18th, 2010 25 commentsDear Buzzom Users,
Since April 17th, Saturday, 2010 Buzzom’s system is down and we are really sorry for the inconvenience. We really want to be open about the case, hence we would like all our users to stay with us till the problem is resolved.
The main reason behind the shutdown of Buzzom’s system is Twitter’s new rules and regulations regarding Autmation. The new rules of Twitter doesn’t allow any automatic following and unfollowing, and there has been many news of twitter users getting suspended for aggressively following and unfollowing.
This case has brought Twitter’s attention to Buzzom which basically allows user to manage their twitter account. Initially, we had a bulk unfollow and follow option which is no longer running. It was removed as requested by Twitter.
But now, our one more feature of following 50 person in one GO has been questioned. As a result, Twitter has stopped responding authentication from Buzzom’s system. We are in close talk with Twitter to restart our service and bring new changes to the system so that it doesn’t violate any terms and conditions.
We have made all the required changes to the system and are eagerly waiting for response from Twitter. Once we get the Green signal, our services will be back on service.
We are indebt to all our users who have showed their interest and love to the service and we continue to serve better in future.
Thank You,
Deep Sherchan

Well I’ve only just started using Buzzom and have found it invaluable for removing non followers or those that unfollow. I feel Twitter should put its own house in order by making said problems easier for account management. I also feel those who mass unfollow so as to appear popular should have their accounts closed without question.

Thanks for this update. It is hard to fit within the guidelines of Twitter. You find a good site then they change the rules!
I spend so much time working on Twitter and trying to schedule Tweets!!
I love Buzzom because it makes part of the work easy.
Good luck with the changes.

I think it’s not a good rule from Twitter. They are getting more strict every passing day. I can predict that Twitter shall lose its authority in a few years.

Although I don’t like it, Twitter is trying to maintain the “social” side of their software by controlling Twitter users “Following” activities. For those of us that know how to build and maintain a qualified vs quantified following, we pay the price. I watched as two other companies had to change their “bulk” follow/unfollow procedures to align with Twitter rules so they could stay in business. I think I know what your new service will look like and it will make it harder on those of us that know what we’re doing. Twitter needs to remember, some people can command 100s of people, some can command 1000s. Shouldn’t we be able to decide our own capabilities?

I was also thinking about this. Twitter suspended auto following and auto unfollowing many days ago.Only auto reciprocate is allowed. I couldn’t find how buzzom can allow 50 peoples to follow in just a click. I did this very few times and when i saw the twitter TOS, then i just use auto reciprocate feature of this site. I also auto followed some selected people but not so fast and and not more than 20 each time.
I hope the problem would be solved soon. Best wishes for buzzom. -
Well ain’t that a bitch! I’ve been using Buzzom for ages and it’s an amazing tool!
Really Twitter needs to sit down and have a long chat with itself!!

Just as i thought. Twitter karma has same faith with you, but why are they still online? why not us?

Your service rocks, good luck fighting the vampire squid, twitter turning corporate….

Hope to see it back in action again! Twitter are always coming up with RULES and implement them without any notice! That sucks!

What a shame. I work in the wine industry and just don’t have time to maintain my Twitter account every day, so a bulk follow/unfollow service for up to 50 people would be invaluable! I don’t have time between the vineyard, winery etc. to look at my account every day. Just my luck the day I try to sign up, Twitter has smushed it.

Removing people who dont bother to follow you is extremely labour intensive and it is a real shame that buzzom is another site forced to change. You cant build your list unless you remove the deadwood. I would like to spend more time twittering than maintaining!

This seems to be somewhat of a catastrophe to me. Since I am only 14, it tended to be difficult to keep up with my old twitter account. Buzzom helped so much with that to the point where I had over 40k followers (At least until I sold it for $600)
After that, I made another, but since bulk-sites have been down, I have been stuck at merely 1,000. I’m not saying Twitter should let everyone run amok until there’s bedlam. Although, if these strict rules continue, the only avid Twitter users will just be high schoolers and pre-teens who, coming from a *child*, are not very enthusiastic about tweeting. -
Hey there is a number of ways to piss any effort down their leg and Twitter seems to find a number of them, I think they are following Facebook’s lead in stupid things to do to ruin what was once a good thing.
Hang in there and remember, never, ever let the bastards get you down!

TWITTER HAS GOTTEN SO LAME! HERE IT NOW I PREDICT THE END OF TWITTER! THEY ARE RUINING & DESTROYING THE GAME BY “CONTROLLING” EVERYTHING! NOT TO MENTION THE TWITTER PLATFORM NEEDS SOOOOOOOO WORK - THESE PEEPS THAT RUN TWITTER I WOULD SAY ARE PRETTY MUCH
TOTALLY
CLUELESS
PLEASE SOMEONE IN SILCON VALLEY COME UP WITH A BETTER TWITTER FAST!
THANK YOU!

Hi Everyone,
First of all, please let me apologise to everyone here, cause I think i am the cause of this issue.I opened a new profile called “PhillipsForever” and had used “BuzzOm” to get to people who have their last name as “Phillips”.
I think I have been “Following” around 897 people who have their last name as “Phillips”.
So it must have looked Aggressive and hence as it goes…my account stays “Suspended”.
But then, I have no intention of Spamming or trying any other means to cause harm to anyone who I “Following”.I just wanted to have a Twitter account where all the “Phillips” come together. Is their anything wrong with that??
Hopefully Twitter will re-activate my account.I honestly wish they do.
And once again,I apologise to “Buzzom” and all the people that are at a disadvantage because of me.
My email address is phillipsforever@gmail.com.
(now dont get this suspended).Sorry once again everyone.
Regards,
Phillipsforever.
