Buzzom is Down Why?

Dear Buzzom Users,

First of all, we are really sorry for the service down of the Buzzom since Saturday. We had been hoping that the issue could be resolved by Monday, but it hasn’t.

As you can see that you cannot log on to the system using Twitter Authentication, but you can certainly use our Facebook features.

Apparently, our service has been randomly shutdown by the Twitter’s automatic monitoring system. It is not the first time that we have faced this issues. But unlike in our previous case, this time we have not been given any reasons.

We are still figuring out why this has been done. As you all probably know that we have changed our service a lot of time to comply with the Twitter’s changing Terms and Conditions. As a result, the present version of buzzom had nothing against the Twitter’s TOS.

One of our following/unfollowing engine was also converted from automatic to manual. The only value addition we had with our following/unfollowing engine was not the automation but listing out of user’s followers and unfollowers. Besides that every follow/unfollow action was manual.

Further, we have been working to develop the best possible Social Media client adding many other social networking site.

One thing I would like to tell to all our users is that Buzzom is not just a random tool being created in the Internet. It is a well planned and designed application build by the industry experts. The road map of buzzom is long and interesting and we only work to add value to online network’s eco-system. Our history proves that very well.

Buzzom has been running like a professional web products with 24 hrs support system and user guidance. Our buzzom users will know this much better than anyone. We respond to each mail and each query being fired on Twitter.

Lastly, we are still looking forward to Twitter’s response and possible way to resolve any kind of issue that is there. Buzzom is here for betterment of online eco-system.

Schedule messages to Facebook Fan pages and Send Personalized Welcome DM’s

Yesterday we updated our social media marketing campaign to include Facebook fan pages. So now with Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn, you can also schedule your updates for Facebook Fan Pages.

We have also introduced the ability to send personalized DM’s as welcome notes to your new followers on Twitter. Till now you could send the same customized DM which would go to all your followers but now you can send direct messages which would have the followers name included in the message. This is an attempt to make the message more personalized so that your followers can connect with you better.

If you face any problem scheduling updates for Facebook fan pages, try the following steps:

1) Go to ‘Account Management’ tab

2) Click on the Facebook icon under “Profile Summary” icon for the account you want to associate the Facebook Fan page. A warning to disaccociate your account would appear, confirm and approve.

3) Before moving on to the next step, make sure you have “Logged Out” from the facebook. If you not sure open Facebook and click on “Log Out”.

4) Don’t click on the Facebook Icon again.

5) You should be done now, go to the schedule status page and schedule away.

Service Breakdown on Buzzom Premium

As most of you might have noticed, we had a service breakdown this weekend. Though the root cause of the mishap still remains unknown, we have been successful in putting the service back up. Some of the features such as ‘Schedule Status’ went completely berserk and we deeply regret the inconvenience it might have caused you. Though you might continue to see several schedules updates, they will not be posted as we have stopped the function momentarily.  

We are currently investigating the cause and are also in the process of completely migrating our server. Though you will be able to log into the service, you will not be able to schedule status, send auto DM and grow your network. The migration should complete in a few hours and all the features of Buzzom Premium will be back as before.

We thank you for your support and apologize for the inconvenience.

As promised we are providing a free extension of 15 days to all our premium users. Hope this would help in damage control

New Features Introduced in Buzzom Premium

Thanks for all you feedback. We have implemented the top rated suggestions by you. Here are a few new features available to you:

Live Stats: We have implemented streaming API which would enable you to see your current data. So now all the stats about your Tweets in ‘Tweet Tracker’ will be up to date.

Schedule Status frequency changed to 5 minutes: On popular demand, we have brought down the time interval from 15 mins to 5 mins. So now when you go to ‘Schedule Status’, the drop down for time will be in span of 5 mins.

Schedule Status to Twitter and/or Facebook: Now you can schedule status update to Twitter, Facebook or both by just checking the options in ‘Schedule Status’.

Search and Follow: Also implemented in the ‘Search and Follow’ facility in ‘Manage Network’ using which you can search for people based on their Tweets. After viewing the list, you can decide whether you want to follow themor not.

The process is very simple:

2. Click on the Schedule Status

Three New Features Added in Buzzom Premium

At the onset, we’d like to thank all our users for the overwhelming response we have received for Buzzom Premium. As promised we added three new features in Buzzom Premium last week .

Tweet Based Search:

In our attempt to help you make your network more effective, we have added the ability to follow people based on keywords in their Tweets. Till now you could find people based on keywords in their ‘Bio’ and ‘Location’. So you want to follow people who talk about ‘Web Marketing’, find and add them in Buzzom Premium.

Track Your Un-Followers:

Most of the applications let you track your followers. What we tend to forget is that its equally important to keep track of people un-following you. There must be something going wrong if you are losing on the Followers numbers. It goes unnoticed most of the time but now with Buzzom Premium you can know exactly how many people un-followed you when. You can also see the list of people who un-followed you and choose to follow or un-follow them.

Growth Statistics:

We let you see your growth in Twitter in terms of followers you have added in Buzzom Premium. You can see how many people you have Flushed, Reciprocated or Followed. You can also see the number of people you have followed based on various keywords. Basically, you can track the performance of the system on your account here. You can view the data for the last few days in ‘Grow Setting and Stats’ by selecting the parameter from the drop down menu on the right hand side.
